The Role: Associate Consultant

 

We are seeking an Associate Consultant to join our small but dynamic team and make an immediate impact. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of projects, contributing to research, strategy development, and hands-on implementation across a wide range of health and social areas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients, engage with stakeholders, and help create actionable solutions that strengthen communities.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Collaborate with clients across sectors—including community organizations, non-profits, and government agencies—to design and implement transformative strategies.

  • Conduct research and analysis on health and social systems, including the social determinants of health.

  • Support the facilitation of workshops, stakeholder consultations, and co-design sessions.

  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and deliverables.

  • Work closely with a small, collaborative team to contribute to the success of projects and support the growth of the firm.

​​Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

 

Essential Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical abilities, including experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across sectors.

 

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Experience in consulting, project management, or a related field is an asset.

  • Familiarity with health and social systems, including the social determinants of health.

  • Training or experience in facilitation, design thinking, co-design, and/or stakeholder engagement.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, online collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro, Monday.com), and data visualization tools.

 

Educational Background:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as public health, social work, health policy, business administration, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is an asset but not required.

 

Salary:

  • The salary range of this role is $55,000 to $75,000.

 

Workplace Type:

  • The position is mostly remote, but also requires travel to client location.

  • Ideal for the candidate to live within the Greater Toronto Area.
