Meet Madison

“Linking academia and the corporate world to improve outcomes and systems.”

Madison has over 6 years of experience conducting research in the healthcare field. She completed her Master’s of Science at Queen’s University in Translational Medicine and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Health Systems Research at the University of Toronto. Her primary area of research is access to psychiatric care by children and youth in Ontario particularly as they transfer to the adult mental healthcare system. Her overarching goal for her dissertation is to use the results from her studies to help policy makers more effectively and equitably plan Ontario’s mental healthcare system for children and youth.

Madison is skilled in conducting research studies using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, as well as evidence synthesis. From her Master’s, she also has training in knowledge translation and prioritizes work that has a direct and positive impact on patients and the healthcare system. Her love of teaching and learning allows her to be both an empathetic, approachable leader as well as a driven, collaborative team member. She hopes to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world to ultimately improve healthcare systems across the country.
